I have noticed that the few other wordpress bloggers with “rat” tags are either referring to rats in the political, figurative sense or are referring to rats they keep as pets, which, as Sullivan explains in Rats (and restates even more clearly and forcefully in the afterword of the paperback edition), aren’t the same at all.

If you click on the “rats” link under my side bar labeled “categories” you will see only posts on everyday trash that are tagged “rats”. You will also see that the only rat posts I have on here are references to this book.
