Hey Lady P,

I'm the Creator of the latex condom sandwich...the process I used in creating my sandwich was simple, scissors, paint, and glue, I would cut the condom in the desired form, like for the slices of cheese i would cut a whole condom down the middle and roll it out, paint it and let it dry, its really simple to contort the pieces of latex into desired shapes, for the bread[the trickiest part] i had to also use the condom wrappings which i formed into a square shape, then I started to layer the wrappings with the latex condoms to make a more realistic looking and textured piece of bread, painting of course is just a matter of choosing the right colors, I used water based coloring , the glue used for the most part was the industrial ones that really stick, but really any good glue could be used. ALL the pieces in the latex sandwich were derived either from the expired condom stack or the arts an crafts store, the rest is left up to a persons imagination =]...
I hope I have helped in explaining how to do your own condom project, and i must say its REALLY MESSY and FUN, a great way to help the enviornment and raise awarness for sexual health

Hey Lady P,

<a href="http://www.unaids.org/en/KnowledgeCentre/Resources/FeatureStories/archive/2006/20060316-condoms.asp" rel="nofollow">This</a> article on Brazilian designer Adriana Bertini describes her process:

"Thousands of condoms pile in the corner. Buckets of paint lie on the shelf. She cuts, twists, shapes, melts, pastes, colors, crochets and sculpts, with her fingers and nails stained black. 365 hours later, a colourful elegant gown made of 6,500 condoms debuts."

I have written to the creators of the latex sandwich to see how they did it. My guess is that an iron was involved.
