To be fair, this photo was taken on Île Saint-Louis during “Nuit Blanche,” an occasion when artsy venues and museums stay open all night, Parisians wander the streets gallery hopping and chomping on baguette sandwiches and the Métro runs until morning. It was also the night of the Rugby World Cup quaterfinals, which France won (thus leading to streets jammed with cheering fans in blue, white and red clown wigs).
