The Garbage Cage

by

garbagecage.jpg I came across this review of a new documentary on Palestinian trash pickers today. Yet another example of how trash explains the world (in this case class, conflict and social status). I’m not sure if this is screening or airing anywhere soon, all I found was the purchase info (and limited info at that). Let me know if you hear anything!

Thanks again for your blog. Trash is such a fascinating and telltale manifestation of our consumerist culture.

You may be interested in what’s happening with eWaste. I wrote several posts, inspired from the ‘Digital Dump’ documentary. I will think twice before buying a new computer . . . or any other piece of electronics. At a minimum, I will make sure all my old electronics end up in the right hands!

An interesting dialogue is worth comment. I feel that you should write extra on this topic, it might not be a taboo topic but generally people are not sufficient to talk on such topics. To the next. Cheers

I’m not sure exactly why but this blog is loading incredibly slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it a problem on my end? I’ll check back later and see if
    the problem still exists.
