Donate pet hair to help clean up the oil spill

by

I spotting this inhabitat post via unconsumption. Matter of Trust, a San Francisco-based nonprofit dedicated to repurposing existing goods to prevent excess consumption will take your dog or cat hair and send that superabsorbant stuff to the Gulf of Mexico to help clean up the oil spill. Rad.

i’ll forward this to my sister, Story generates a ridiculous amount of hair, too bad they aren’t buying it, she could probably use the money!

Where should the hair be sent??

What about human hair? Lots of people get hair cuts every day.

Please let me know the shipping address.

    Thanks,

My hair will be donated by my salon! The hairstylist said they did this during the Exxon Valdez spill as well. Should we start collecting our hair now for the next oil spill?
